Former Legislative Councilor prem Kumar Mani says - For the first time after independence, nitish kumar has
done the work of counting the castes within the Muslims also. This is a revolutionary step. The fight for
population share among Muslims too has been going on for years.
Before the 2011 census, there was a demand among Muslims to give reservation to backward classes. Former
MP ali Anwar, who has been fighting the battle of Pasmanda since 1998, says - the fight will become stronger
after the data comes. Till now everyone used to write estimates, on which there was controversy. For the first
time in the year 1998, ali Anwar Ansari had formed Pasmanda Muslim Mahaj and raised questions about giving
token participation to some upper caste community people in the name of Muslims.
According to Anwar, now the fight for the share of Muslims will intensify. He says- Earlier, to woo the Muslims,
political parties used to give posts to 1-2 affluent Muslims, but now it will be difficult to do this. Now political
parties will have to give preference in organization and government according to their numbers.
Will the opposition parties talk about giving a share to Muslims in the hard Hindutva politics of the Bharatiya
Janata Party? In response to this question, ali Anwar says- Now it is written that Pasmanda Muslims are about
10 percent in Bihar. In such a situation, all the parties will have to talk about its share. Soon we will also raise
the issue of reservation again. ali Anwar further says – Census data has arrived. Looking ahead, in the coming
time, Pasmanda cell will be formed within the political parties. Just like there are Dalit and backward cells
within political parties.
