Russia on tuesday (October 24) rejected the ongoing speculations regarding the health of President Vladimir
Putin. Kremlin said that he (Putin) is completely fit. His statement came at a time when an alleged Russian
Telegram channel had informed about Putin’s heart attack. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking to the
media, also refuted suggestions that the president was using body doubles. He said that the news of the President
using body doubles is absurd and false. According to Reuters report, a reporter asked the President a question
about his health, quoting an unsourced report. This report was broadcast by some western media organizations.
Peskov called it absurd.
Putin created the image of action man
Peskov said that Putin likes judo and has long maintained his image as an action man. He turned 71 this month
on 7 October. Despite this, he continues to participate in meetings and public functions. Many of these programs
are broadcast on television. Only last week, Putin's visit to china was telecast on TV. This also included
stopping in two Russian cities on the way back.
The talk about body doubles is a lie'
Apart from this, in april this year too, Peskov had called the matter of Putin's body doubles a lie and had said
that Putin's health is good. Earlier in an interview in 2020, Putin had denied long-standing rumors that he used a
