In this, recruitment on Pharmacist Technician posts will be done on year wise merit basis. Apart from this, the number of posts in Pharmacist cadre will be increased. The state government has set a target of providing 10,000 jobs in health and medical education by 2024. health minister Dhan Singh Rawat announced this during the Kayakalp Samman ceremony held on Thursday.
In the Kayakalp felicitation ceremony, health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that in 2024, 10,000 jobs will be given to the youth of the state in health and medical education. Dhan Singh Rawat said that recruitment will be done on 2000 posts in government Medical College, Haridwar Pithoragarh. Apart from this, 10000 posts of doctors, ANM nurses, pharmacists, pharmacist technicians and ward boys will be recruited. At the same time, on the lines of Nursing Officers, one time Pharmacist Technician posts will also be recruited on the basis of merit every year. A proposal for this will be brought in the cabinet soon.
'Consideration on increasing the retirement period of doctors'
health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that in view of the shortage of specialized doctors in the state, the retirement age limit will be increased from 60 years to 65 years. However, this arrangement will be voluntary and optional for the specialist doctor. For this, a committee will be formed, which will recommend extension of service years of the experienced specialist doctor. He further said that the state government is working to provide maximum employment for the youth in Uttarakhand. These 10,000 jobs will benefit 10,000 youth across the state. Apart from this, the state government is going to provide new job opportunities to the youth in many other areas.
