Rajasthan's minister of State for home Jawahar Singh Bedham said on wednesday that the state government will take positive steps from the point of view of cyber security in the state. Along with this he said that the state will be made crime free. Bedham was addressing the inaugural session of 'Rajasthan police Hackathon 1.0' organized under 'Rajasthan police Cyber Crime Awareness Mission' at 'Rajasthan international Centre'.
The minister of State for home said that in the present environment, many facilities have increased due to the use of social media, but crimes related to it have also increased. Special efforts are needed to stop the increasing crimes in Mewat region. He suggested forming cyber expert teams in all the districts under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of police level officers. According to the official statement, on this occasion, director General of police (DGP) Utkal Ranjan Sahu said that an innovative beginning is being made from the point of view of cyber security by starting rajasthan police Hackathon. He informed that 1665 participants from various educational institutions, industries, research laboratories and startups have been registered in this two-day hackathon.
About 300 teams will participate in these. These teams will work continuously for 36 hours to find solutions to 12 cyber security related problems. A total of Rs 20 lakh cash prizes and citations will be awarded to the winners of the hackathon in various categories and many interested teams will be included in the internship program of rajasthan Police. Sahu said that rajasthan police is working determinedly to improve the law and order situation in the state, to provide speedy justice to the weaker sections including women and to ensure safety of life and property of the common people.
DGP (Cyber Security) Dr. Raviprakash Mehra said that cyber crimes are constantly posing a challenge to the police. police is working diligently to prevent cyber crimes, but public awareness is necessary for effective prevention of cyber crimes.
