BJP leader Girish called Eknath an 'extinguished lamp'...

Maharashtra bjp leader Girish Mahajan on sunday termed his former colleague Eknath Khadse as an extinguished lamp. The comments come amid Eknath Khadse's announcement that he is returning to bjp, which he left in 2020 before joining the undivided nationalist congress party (NCP).

Girish Mahajan further said that in July last year, when ajit pawar along with eight MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government, ncp broke, then Khadse chose to support Sharad Pawar. He is like an extinguished lamp. Not even a single gram panchayat is in their hands.

Aiming Eknath Khadse, the bjp leader said that he used to control a bank, but the board of directors has also changed, and even the new board member does not listen to him, so why should his decision be made so important? Girish Mahajan, while talking to the media, said that Eknath Khadse's wife and daughter had lost elections earlier also. Who has been a staunch rival of Khadse in the Jalgaon district?

The opposition leader has been in the maharashtra Assembly

Girish Mahajan said that incidentally, Khadse was the leader of the opposition in the assembly and a contender for the post of chief minister between 2009 and 2014, when the bjp won 120 seats in the 2014 assembly elections. However, devendra fadnavis defeated him and got the top post. Girish Mahajan further said that during this period, Khadse had to be satisfied with only a few important departments, but after facing allegations of irregularities in the land deal, he had to resign from the fadnavis ministry in 2016. His daughter rohini Khadse was given the ministry.
