CM Champai Soren's reaction on arrest of Alamgir Alam...

Congress leader and jharkhand Rural Development minister Alamgir Alam were arrested by ED on Wednesday. ED arrested Alamgir Alam in a money laundering case after a huge amount of cash was recovered from the premises belonging to his assistant. chief minister Champai Soren has reacted on this. cm Champai Soren said, "In the case of Alamgir Alam's arrest, he said that there is no further information about his arrest. Only after I look into the matter will I be able to tell anything." He also said that out of all the seats for which elections have been held in jharkhand so far, the indian alliance will win all the seats.

What is the whole matter?

Let us tell you that Alamgir Alam represents Pakur seat in jharkhand Assembly and is also the Parliamentary Affairs Minister. Recently, Alamgir Alam came under the scanner of ED after the arrest of his personal secretary and State Administrative service officer sanjeev kumar Lal (52) and domestic help Jahangir Alam (42). ED had raided the premises associated with sanjeev Lal and Jahangir Alam on May 6.

Alamgir Alam had tried to distance himself from sanjeev Lal's activities and had said that he was a 'law abiding' citizen. The money laundering probe pertains to alleged irregularities and taking of 'bribes' in the state rural development department. Seeking the remand of the two arrested, the ED had told a special PMLA court here that sanjeev Lal collected 'commission' on behalf of some influential people and government officials from 'top to bottom' in the rural department. But are involved in the nexus of taking bribe. A total of around Rs 36.75 crore was seized by the ED in this case, as the agency had also seized around Rs 3 crore from other places.
