In Rajasthan, bjp has expelled former Alwar mla Gyandev Ahuja from the party. bjp has expelled Gyandev Ahuja from the party just hours before congress party president mallikarjun Kharge reached Jaipur. Ahuja had come into controversy when he washed the face of Congress' Dalit leader and leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie with Gangajal when he visited a temple.


This matter of washing the face of a Dalit leader with Gangajal when he visited a temple was in the headlines in political circles. congress president mallikarjun Kharge had raised this matter loudly in the ahmedabad convention. On the day of Ambedkar Jayanti, leader of Opposition in lok sabha Rahul gandhi had also planned to visit this temple.

bjp had also issued a show cause notice

After the matter escalated, bjp suspended him from the party and handed over the investigation of the matter to the disciplinary committee. The party had also issued him a show cause notice. Gyandev Ahuja had responded to the notice, but refused to apologize.

On the basis of the report of the disciplinary committee, bjp has now shown Gyandev Ahuja the way out of the party. He has been expelled from the party. Gyandev Ahuja has refused to apologize even after being expelled from the party. He says, "I did not commit any mistake. I washed the temple not because a Dalit had left. But because a leader of the congress party, who works against the country, had left."
