Senior Samajwadi party leader and maharashtra mla Abu Asim Azmi has reacted to the decision of the central government to conduct caste census in a conversation with ABP News. He has described the decision of caste census as historic and termed it as a 'big victory of the opposition'.

Abu Azmi has clearly said that this decision is an important step towards social and economic justice of the majority population of the country. The entire credit for this should go to the opposition parties, who constantly raised this demand.

Abu Azmi said, "Our demand was that caste census should be conducted so that it can be clear how many communities are there in the country. When it comes out, only then everyone will have a correct assessment of their rights and share. There is an old saying - 'Whoever has more number, he has more share' - this is the foundation of social justice." 'PM Modi had said that terrorism has no religion'- Abu Azmi

SP mla Abu Azmi also cited an old video of prime minister Narendra Modi, in which the prime minister was seen saying, "Terror has no religion." Reacting to this, the SP mla said that the prime minister should repeat his statement, especially when Muslims in areas like srinagar and pahalgam risked their lives to save the lives of tourists from different parts of the country.

Demand to remove Nitesh Rane from the post of minister

He also sharply criticized the recent controversial statements of Nitesh Rane, which talked about discrimination on the basis of religious identity. Abu Azmi said, "It is very unfortunate that a minister is using such language. I demand that he be removed from the post of minister immediately. Many criminal cases are registered against him and I am also preparing to take legal action. I will soon file a petition in the court." Abu Azmi further said that flags of pakistan and bangladesh are being burnt here, which we do not object to. Then they burn the flag of Palestine, which is linked to our faith. This is wrong. All the top leaders of the country should clearly say that people of a particular religion should not be harassed, only then things will be right.
