The state government is constantly making efforts to improve the education system of Uttar Pradesh. In this episode, a delegation of Lucknow-based State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) recently made a five-day educational tour of Nagaland. This tour lasted from 26 to 30 April. During this, the delegation inspected the schools, villages and educational institutions of Nagaland and closely understood the working style there.

This is the specialty

The tour was led by Dr. Pawan Sachan, Joint director of SCERT Lucknow. Many DIET principals, SCERT officials and experts from education NGO Mantra4Change were also present with him. The delegation observed that in Nagaland education is not considered the responsibility of just the school or the government, but the entire village takes part in it. This is the reason why children there study with more confidence.

DIETs will be made better

UP has learned many important things from this tour. Especially, by improving DIETs (District Institute of education and Training), they can be converted into centers of excellence. This means that the DIET of every district should become a center that sets an example in teacher training, research, innovation and community cooperation.

Action plan will be prepared

SCERT is now preparing a new action plan for UP based on these experiences. This includes special training programs, strengthening research units, wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital monitoring dashboard and strengthening village-school partnership.

Village-school together
