According to a PTI report, officials said that Pakistan's indiscriminate shelling caused panic among border residents and forced them to take refuge in underground bunkers or move to safer places within or outside their villages. There are reports of shelling from Balakot, Mendhar, Mankot, krishna Ghati, Gulpur, Kerni and even Poonch district headquarters near the LoC in Poonch, due to which many houses have been damaged. 10 people including 5 minor children were injured in cross-border shelling in uri sector of Baramulla district, while three others were injured in Rajouri district. At the same time, many houses caught fire due to shelling in Karnah sector of Kupwara district. The indian Army is giving a befitting reply to this shelling.
