Now the bharatiya janata party has retaliated to the questions and statements being raised by congress leaders regarding the cancellation of bjp mla Kanwarlal Meena's membership in the rajasthan Assembly. Chief Whip of rajasthan assembly and Jalore mla Jogeshwar Garg launched a scathing attack on the congress and said that it has been the habit of the congress that when it blames others, it ignores its own shortcomings.
Jogeshwar Garg raised questions on the merger of BSP MLAs
Jogeshwar Garg, in his statement, cornered the congress and said, "The merger of 6 BSP MLAs in the last 5 years was done in a completely illegal manner. Despite this, the congress kept it pending for years by entangling it in the courts. They kept adjourning it one after the other, but did not let any decision be taken until the term of the assembly was over. Now the same people are accusing us, this is the same thing - 'The cat went to Haj after eating a hundred rats'. This is the old nature of the Congress." Citing assembly tradition on resignations
Responding to questions raised by congress on the resignations of MLAs, Garg said, "The rule is clear that when an mla personally submits his resignation to the Speaker, only then it is considered valid. Resignations sent through post or any other medium are not accepted. But about 90 congress MLAs submitted their resignations to the then Speaker with their own hands, yet no decision was taken for years, whereas an immediate decision should have been taken on it." Accusing the congress of adopting double standards, he said, "Today the same people are questioning the legal process of bjp, who themselves have ignored the constitutional provisions in the past."
Reaction on the Speaker of the assembly and rahul Gandhi
Supporting the action taken by the Speaker of the assembly, Garg said, "The decision taken by the Speaker is completely legal, as per the rules and taken at the right time. The bjp government has been serious about this matter from the beginning." Reacting to rahul Gandhi's example, he said, "The laws of parliament and assembly may be the same, but their traditions are different. The assembly Speaker has taken this decision respecting the tradition of rajasthan assembly, and it is absolutely correct."
