According to latest report services of railway ticket booking site IRCTC will be interrupted for a period of six hours on Thursday. Meanwhile the passengers who are willing to schedule their journey can avail the tickets from now it as the site will not be accessible to the public. Moreover IRCTC, along with other ticket booking sites will not work on Thursday between 10.45 pm and 5 am.
Media reports that all the apps and websites related to Indian Railways will remain shut during the hours including the Passenger Reservation System (PRS). Sources added that IRCTC Website will be out of service and you can't book train tickets during the period. Furthermore it is learnt that the Indian Railways has decided to upgrade all the sites of railway ticketing system to create user-friendly apps with more features.
Moreover it is also reported that the site is
striving to provide more security for payments made on the portal with the up
gradation. Further during the mentioned time, passengers will not have access
to the IVRS, touch screen and 139 inquiry system.
