Tamil Nadu advanced to the final after defeating hyderabad by 7 wickets in the semi-finals in New Delhi. hyderabad was knocked out for 91 in 16.3 overs while batting first. tamil Nadu won by 7 wickets after losing two wickets for 91 runs with 33 balls to spare. P. Saravanan of tamil Nadu bowled brilliantly and collected 6 wickets. Saravanan bowled two maidens and conceded 22 runs in 3.3 overs while taking five wickets. 

Saravanan is playing in his third t20 match. Murugan Aswin of tamil Nadu and Mohammad of bangladesh each captured two wickets. In tamil Nadu's Saravanan bowling, Thanme Agarwal (2), Tilak Verma (7), Prague reddy (5), Himalaya Agarwal (10), and Thiagarajan (15) got wickets. hyderabad was in a tough spot at one point, losing five wickets for 31 runs in 7.2 overs. 

The team was later saved from its slump by Thiagarajan and Sama Milind. hyderabad would have been bowled out for 50 runs if Thiagarajan had not been the sole batter to make a comeback.
