The threat of ransomware is now increasing... 

A new report by cyber-security firm Check Point software has claimed that in the second half of this year, incidents of cyber attacks on the Metaverse will increase, while smaller groups will be at risk of ransomware. In the second half of 2022, the ransomware ecosystem will be more vulnerable. It has also been claimed in the research that it will make attackers target many small and medium groups instead of a few large groups.

Crypto attackers have an eye on every asset. Now preparations are being made to attack the Metaverse on a large scale. Cyber attackers want to attack by breaking small smart contracts. Worldwide, cyber-attacks have increased by 42 per cent. The threat of ransomware is now increasing on the global level.

The cyber attack will happen in a professional manner

According to the report, ransomware is now being targeted by professional methods. Now hackers are working more dangerously than before. Attackers have set weapons at different levels, due to which the risk of cyber attack is increasing.


Where will the cyber attack happen?

Maya Horowitz, VP of Research at Check Point software, said, “We have seen an increase in cyberattacks against organizations across regions and across countries this year. Unfortunately, this would be the biggest threat with ransomware.'
