Every day something new is being seen in the world of technology, but what is coming now will change the way you think. Now neither hands nor voice will be needed to control the mobile phone. Soon the time may come when you will just think something in your mind and your iphone will do that work automatically. Yes, apple is working on such technology which can give the power to control the phone by just thinking. This technology is called "Brain-Computer Interface" i.e. BCI. This means that your brain will directly talk to your device, without any touch or command.

What is BCI technology?

BCI is a system that makes a direct connection between the human brain and any electronic device. Meaning, now to operate the mobile, neither typing, nor tapping nor scrolling on the screen will be required. As soon as you think, the device will understand what you say and will work accordingly.

apple has taken a big initiative in this direction and joined hands with neurotechnology company Synchron. This company is already working on BCI devices. The special thing is that Synchron's device is fitted in human nerves through surgery and reads the signals by connecting to the motor part of the brain.

Who is this technology for?

The people who can benefit the most are those who are unable to speak or move their hands and legs due to some disease or accident. This technology can open a new door for them, through which they will be able to convey their thoughts to others. The American organization FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has also given Synchron's device the status of "Breakthrough". That is, it has the capability that can make the lives of millions of people easier in the future.

apple is not alone

While apple is preparing to bring this new technology to the iphone, the world's most famous billionaire *Elon Musk*'s company Neuralink is also moving forward on the same path. Neuralink is working on brain implants that can understand human intentions by reading neural signals. Recently, Neuralink has succeeded in implanting a chip in the brain of its third patient. Its purpose is also the same, to operate the device with thought.
