The center has launched pointers and a portal for the Electronics Element Production Scheme (ECMS) to develop a robust element environment by way of attracting large investments, both worldwide and at home, inside the electronics element manufacturing environment.


Union minister for Electronics and Information Generation ashwini Vaishnaw released the tips and portal on april 26.


The Union Cabinet, chaired by the prime minister, had permitted the Electronics Aspect Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), which was notified on april 08, 2025.


The scheme aims to broaden robust manufacturing capability and abilities and integrate indian companies with international cost chains (GVCs).


Speaking on the release, the Union minister stated that electronics manufacturing has grown 5-fold and exports have grown greater than 6-fold, with export CAGR exceeding 20 percent and production CAGR over 17 percent.


He added that cellular telephones, servers, laptops, and IT hardware have seen very robust progress and that the enterprise is poised to take off appreciably.


Vaishnaw described ECMS as a horizontal scheme as a way to support not just electronics but also business, electricity, vehicle sectors, and more. He emphasized that a complete ecosystem for electronics production is getting into place throughout the USA.


Underscoring the importance of innovation and niceness, the minister said that many agencies have now hooked up layout groups, and it's vitally essential that each player develop such groups.


Stressing on great, he, known for achieving Six Sigma standards across the sector, cautions that those no longer adhering to excellent benchmarks could be cut quickly. He said the twin cognizance of design functionality and best excellence could drive India's management in electronics.


Vaishnaw also spoke about India's advances in AI and statistics-pushed solutions. He informed us that 350 datasets have already been uploaded on AI Kosh, and 4 AI equipment advances via IITs will soon be released.
