When tensions between india and pakistan increased after the pahalgam attack, india directly suspended the Indus Water Treaty and now pakistan is being made to crave for every drop of water. Water is not available there for sowing crops and pakistan is not able to sow Kharif crops. Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif raised this issue and expressed concern at a conference on glacier conservation in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

Shahbaz Sharif tried to draw the world's attention towards the decision of the Indus Water Treaty. Actually, the water level in the two main dams there has fallen by 50 percent. In such a situation, a scientist there has claimed that India's dams can also be hacked. But is this really possible, let's know about this.

How is a dam built?

Building a dam is a very difficult task, which engineers do with great struggle. For this, first the river water is diverted and then a dam is constructed on a dry site. The foundation of the dam is made strong so that it can easily bear its weight and the tremendous pressure of water. The dam is constructed from soil, rock and concrete. After the construction of the dam is completed, its water is stored behind the dam. The stored water is used for irrigation, water supply and power generation.

Can the dam be hacked?

According to reports, dams are a very important thing in cities, so it is a critical infrastructure. The network to control it is not manual, but it has control systems. Which are kept on an isolated network. It is not kept on a network connected to the Internet in any way. That is, no one can access it through the Internet, so the question of the dam being hacked does not arise.
