Elon Musk recently revealed on social media that it is impossible for him to bring tesla to india as the import duty is higher in india than anywhere in the World and it is not easier for them to sell the cars in india with such a high import duty rate and this created huge ripples on social media. Even Elon Musk requested the indian Government to lower the Import Duty prices on Electric Cars which are manufactured in india and so far there has been a mum response from the indian Government. 


Finally, the indian Government has responded to Elon Musk and his tesla company. indian Government has promised to lower the import duty prices and they have also agreed to provide various benefits to the company if Elon Musk agrees to one condition imposed by the Govt of India. 


The indian Government wants tesla to make investments in india and set up a new manufacturing factory so that it can provide opportunities to several indian technicians and also it would increase the Make in india concept as well. The indian Government also revealed that it is ready to hold talks with Elon Musk if he is ready to accept their demands and is willing to set up a new manufacturing plant in India.
