After several weeks of intense promotions, SS Rajamouli's masterpiece rrr is all set for a grand release on Friday, march 25th. The film, starring Jr. NTR, ram Charan, and alia bhatt, is expected to hit big screens in andhra pradesh and Telangana.

On march 18, the telangana government issued an order allowing theater owners to increase ticket prices for the first 10 days of the rrr film. Tickets can be increased by Rs 50 for the first three days and Rs 30 for the next week at AC and air Cooled theaters.

The government has permitted to raise the sloping seats by 100 rupees for the first three days and 50 rupees for the next one week. In addition, the government has permitted theaters in telangana to screen 5 shows daily for the first 10 days.
Similarly, the andhra pradesh government on march 18 allowed the theaters to increase the ticket price by Rs 75 for the 10 days after the release of the rrr, which is currently allowed. According to the government, rrr has been exempted as it falls under the category of 'super high budget film'.
As a result of this move by the government, the rrr ticket price in multiplexes in hyderabad has gone up to an all-time high. Multiplex tickets are on sale for Rs 400-450 in the city for the first three days from march 25 to 27. On single screens, rrr tickets sell for between Rs 200-230 each.

It is noteworthy that the move to raise rrr ticket prices in telangana came after the government announced revised fares for movie tickets in december 2021. andhra pradesh also announced new ticket prices on march 8.
