On Friday, the telangana High court declined to overturn the FIR filed against rebel ysr congress Party of andhra pradesh mp K. raghu Rama krishna Raju and his son for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a police officer. The petitions submitted by the Narsapuram, tamil Nadu, lok sabha member and his son bharath were denied by the court.

The police argued against the petitions on the grounds that they had compelling evidence against the petitioners and informed the court that the investigations were at a crucial point. On July 5, the mp, his son, his personal assistant, and two members of the Central Reserve police Force (CRPF) were all arrested by the Cyberabad police. A case for kidnapping, assault, unjust confinement, and criminal intimidation was filed at the Gachibowli police station on the basis of a complaint made by a constable of the intelligence division of the andhra pradesh Police.

After the mp received "Y" category security cover from the Centre last year, the CRPF suspended Assistant Sub-Inspector K. ganga Ram and constable Nanaware Sandip Sadhu, who were assigned to provide security. A viral video showed CRPF members and three other people picking up a person off the side of the road and putting them in a car. The mp and four other people were charged with violating sections of the indian Penal Code (IPC) 365 (kidnap), 332 (voluntarily causing harm to a public servant to prevent them from performing their duties), 384 (extortion), 342 (wrongful confinement), 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant), and 506 (extortion) (criminal intimidation).
