telugu states have a respectable market for tamil hero Vijay. varasudu, which is receiving a widespread release in the telugu states on par with telugu heavyweights Veera simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, is slated to explore the same. Currently, a special screening of adirindi is scheduled to be shown at Sudharshan 35MM on december 4th in honour of Vijay's 30 years in the film industry as a ground preparation action for Varasudu. The purpose of this is to keep him on the thoughts of telugu viewers since varasudu is set for release the next Sankranthi.

The problem, though, is that Vijay doesn't care at all about the telugu market. Despite his films making respectable profits, he has never visited hyderabad to promote them. Typically, heroes are more likely to promote their films in those languages when they realise that those audiences are welcoming them. However, Vijay never takes such action for any of his movies. In fact, some fans even troll him as 'WIG' Vijay due to his fake hair.

Orchestrating special re-releases and performances on an event that is unimportant to the telugu population is as absurd as it gets for a hero who doesn't recognise the thriving telugu market. Why should the telugu audience support a hero in another language when he has no desire to appeal to this audience?
