Setting a "Why not 175?" goal for his party leaders may come out as overly ambitious, but Y S jagan Mohan Reddy, the head of the congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress and the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, is well aware that it is easier said than done. Even though the assembly elections are still more than a year away, jagan is moving forward with his Mission-175 methodically and has been frequently commissioning polls with several different agencies around the state on the party status and prospects in the following elections.

He believes that by doing this, he will be able to find the loose ends and tighten them in order to reach his goal. Sources claim that jagan has learned through input from several surveys that the party is now struggling in at least 14 assembly districts. He has therefore begun concentrating on these constituencies. According to sources, he has already reached an accord with party leaders who are uncertain about receiving party tickets for the upcoming elections, who are eyeing other political parties, and who might harm the party's prospects while remaining in the party.

In light of this, jagan has been holding numerous discussions with senior party figures to avoid harm to the party in such constituencies. For instance, in the once shared guntur district, jagan might not grant party tickets to at least three MLAs; the same is true in some other districts. Sources claim that a few of them have already begun to voice their displeasure, while others are speaking disparagingly of jagan internally.
