Politicians in andhra pradesh have a thing for padayatras. The cause is that, with the exception of Y S Sharmila, everyone who has gone on a padayatra has reached the seat of authority. His historic padayatra was initially started by the late Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhar reddy in 2003 from Chevella to Itchapuram. After winning the next election, he served as chief minister for two terms. N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP, began a padayatra from Hindupur to Visakhapatnam later in 2013. He was elected chief minister after winning the general election in 2014.

Then it was Y S jagan Mohan Reddy's turn, who made the journey by foot from idupulapaya to Itchapuram and won the general election in 2019. In light of all these padayatras and their political success, lokesh must have made the decision to start the marathon walk. However, he had demonstrated over the course of the last 11 days of his trek that he is incomparable to any of the previous walkers. With his tongue slips and misspelt words in public meetings or during his interactions with groups of people, lokesh is quickly turning into a laughingstock.

Although in the past lokesh criticised jagan Mohan reddy for giving hugs and kisses during the padayatra, he is currently doing the same with the walkers. His actions also show him to be a failure and are quite amusing to those who come to watch him. This yatra would be the funniest stroll in the state's political history if it were to continue and unless it was stopped at least today. He should not have chosen the padayatra because he was unable to give a compelling speech.
