Some of the issues mentioned by residents of the charminar Assembly constituency are large piles of trash and filth, encroachments at Khilwat ground, free parking lots across from Chowmahalla Palace, broken drinking water main lines, and crude gestures made by tourist couples. The government removed over 176 chicken store proprietors from the 200-year-old "Mahabub Chowk," now known as "Murgi Chowk," and relocated them to the Karzane Amrah grounds in Motigalli in order to make room for the construction of a new chicken abattoir.

A new structure without two basements was what the officials had promised. However, after excavating the site around nine months prior to laying the foundation, they abandoned the idea of the minus two levels in order to locate groundwater after just three feet of digging. Owner of a poultry business Mohammed Ismail stated, "We don't know when or if all 176 of us will receive stores. The new structure will take up to two years to construct when work is stopped. We are forced to operate our company on Karzane grounds till then."

In a very shameful new development, more than a hundred photographers initiated the tradition of "free wedding shots," whereby they urge couples visiting Mecca to strike lewd positions near the charminar and Masjid.

We have been asking photographers to refrain from taking offensive pictures of couples visiting the ancient mosque, as this might not only agitate the 'namazees' leaving the building but also negatively impact women, children, and families. This display of obscenity to raise money has the locals shocked', elderly citizen Mohammed Jamal Quadri stated.

Couples can be seen cuddling, kissing, and striking Vulgar poses.

For the past two months, valuable drinking water has been squandered due to rust in the main drinking water line that connects charminar, Hussainialam, Khilwat, and chandulal Baradari. Habeebunnisa Begum from chandulal Baradari bemoaned that "the authorities have failed to repair or replace them with new pipelines despite numerous reminders."

"About 8,000 migrants sell their goods near charminar by taking up areas intended for pedestrians. They spit on the walls after chewing Pan while drinking alcohol at night while perched on the famous monument's perimeter wall. Numerous times, ASI personnel scrubbed and painted the walls, and charminar police detained a large number of them. However, they have returned to their vices," remarked social worker Mohammed Nazeer.
