Visheshwar Rao, a member of civil society who went to advocate for poet Gaddar's daughter G vennela in secunderabad Cantonment, sounded concerned. "I went to a semi-slum area and people said 12 workers of the ruling BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) have been camping there for the past few days," Rao told reporters. G vennela is running for Congress.

This extensive canvassing shows the BRS's and its strategists' thorough electoral strategy. "Our booth-level poll management had started in September," a top BRS functionary who did not want to be named remarked, sitting in the annex of Pragati Bhavan, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's official house. We nominated individuals who have served as MLAs at least once in the previous ten years for over 100 seats. As a result, they have teams prepared at the booth level."

While each BRS candidate had their teams ready, the BRS revealed its list of candidates before the election commission announced the poll timetable. "The early announcement of candidates aided us in running a comprehensive campaign," the functionary explained. "In September, all candidates finished the first round of campaigning in their respective seats. In october and early November, they completed two further rounds of canvassing. Our candidates are meeting with voters for the fourth time before the election."
