According to the election Commission, the counting of ballots for the telangana assembly election began at 8 a.m. Votes cast by postal ballot are being counted first, followed by votes cast by Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The state's majority vote is 60. Aside from telangana, the results of the assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and chhattisgarh are also being revealed.

On november 30, voters in Telangana's 119 seats cast ballots in a single phase. According to the election Commission, voter turnout was 70.60%. Jangaon had the highest turnout (83.34%), followed by Narasampet (83%), and Dubbak (82.75%). Notably, the vote rate in hyderabad was only 39.97%. In all, 32.6 million voters were registered, and 35,655 voting places were set up throughout the state.

Key candidates include chief minister K chandrasekhar Rao from two constituencies - kamareddy and Gajwel, his minister-son K T Rama Rao from Sircilla, telangana congress unit chief A revanth reddy from kamareddy and Kodangal, senior bjp leader Eatala Rajender from Gajwel and Huzurabad, and bjp Lok Sabha member bandi sanjay kumar from Karimnagar.

T harish rao and Chamakura mallareddy of the BRS are also in the running, as are Mohammad Azharuddin, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy venkat Reddy, and Mallu bhatti vikramarka of the congress, and akbaruddin owaisi of the All india Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).  In 2018, the BRS (then known as the telangana rashtra samithi or TRS) won 88 of the 119 seats and received 47.4% of the vote. The congress came in second place with 19 seats.
