Following a collapse at his farmhouse in Erravalli village late thursday night, former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had successful total hip (left) replacement surgery on Friday. According to a health bulletin provided by Yashoda Hospital, where Rao was hospitalized and underwent surgery, the former chief minister "tolerated the surgery well and remained stable hemodynamically throughout the procedure."

According to the hospital, Rao has already been transferred to a room where he is resting. He was getting standard post-operative treatment, such as IV fluids, prophylactic antibiotics, and pain medication. His status will be evaluated again on Saturday, according to the hospital, and the "usual course of recovery is expected to be six to eight weeks."

Earlier, chief minister A. revanth reddy directed health secretary S.A.M. Rizvi to visit the hospital to ensure that Rao was receiving the best possible care, as well as to get updates. Rao's family was present in the hospital, including his wife Shobha, children K.T. Rama Rao and K. Kavitha, nephew T. Harish Rao, and others.

Rao is said to have slipped and fallen in his farmhouse's bathroom after midnight and was promptly taken to the hospital, where he was hospitalized. Following an evaluation, the physicians agreed to do the operation on friday afternoon.


Prime minister Narendra Modi said on social media that he was "disappointed to learn that former telangana cm kcr Garu has suffered an injury." I wish him a swift recovery and good health."

Dr. tamilisai soundararajan, the governor, said she was "anguished" to learn about the event and hoped for his quick recovery and good health.

Many others, including haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, ap chief minister Y.S. jagan Mohan Reddy, his predecessor N. Chandrababu Naidu, congress leader K. Jana Reddy, and BRS leaders, wished him a swift recovery.
