According to the government Order (GO MS No 31 date february 8, 2024), the State government has issued orders raising the maximum age limit for appointment by direct recruitment to various services/categories of posts in uniform services in the Police, Fire, Prisons, Special Protection Force (SPF), Excise, Transport, and Forest Departments by two years, in addition to five years, for two years.
 
To fill 563 positions across several government departments, the telangana State Public services Commission (TSPSC) on monday issued a new Group-I notification. This revokes the previous Group-I notification, which was first sent out in april 2022 following the state's separation from the then-BRS Government.
 
The State government released a new general recruitment notification on monday, stating that qualified candidates are invited to apply online using a proforma application, which will be available on the Commission's website (www.tspsc.gov.in) between february 23 and march 14 for various categories of posts for Group-I services.
 
Applications for Group I will be accepted from february 23, 2024, until march 14, 2024. Candidates who have already submitted their applications may still update them between 10 a.m. on march 23, 2024, and 5 p.m. on march 27, 2024. The main entrance examination (convention style) is scheduled for September/October 2024, while the preparatory test (objective type) will take place in May/June 2024.
