Officials stated on tuesday that a 20-year-old engineering student from hyderabad, Telangana, committed himself after allegedly losing money on online gambling games. According to his father, the young guy, a B. Tech student at a private institution studying aeronautical engineering, took his own life as a result of increasing mental strain.
 
He gradually began utilising online betting apps after becoming addicted to playing video games online. The father of the college student said in the police report that his son had been a victim of the online betting programme 1Win, which ultimately caused him to suffer significant financial losses.
 

The 20-year-old, driven by his addiction, had borrowed Rs 3 lakhs from his buddies, which he neglected to repay. Nevertheless, his father paid back the loans after finding out about them.
 
At his home in the Gudimalkapur neighbourhood, the young guy took his own life by hanging himself from a fan with a towel, despite his father's efforts to intervene and relieve his mental anguish. 
 
The hyderabad police have opened a complaint and are currently doing more inquiry into the situation.
