The recent brutal gang-rape of a young Spanish tourist in jharkhand has shocked the nation. india, known for its cultural adage "Atithi Devo Bhava" (Guest is God), is deeply disturbed by such heinous acts. The victim, who had come to experience the culture and traditions of india with her husband, was subjected to a horrifying incident during their bike tour.

The Spanish couple had embarked on a bike tour, starting from spain and reaching bangladesh before arriving in Dumka, Jharkhand. Planning to continue their journey to nepal via Bihar, they set up a tent for the night in a deserted area in Dumka. Unfortunately, the couple became the target of a group of 10 assailants after dark. The thugs attacked the husband, causing injuries, and then proceeded to gang-rape the Spanish woman.


Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed for a thorough inquiry. The victim is undergoing medical tests at a hospital in Dumka, and further investigations are ongoing. The Spanish couple, touring Dumka on a motorcycle, had already visited pakistan and bangladesh as part of their continental tour.


This incident highlights the urgent need for enhanced measures to ensure the safety of tourists, reinforcing India's commitment to being a hospitable and secure destination.
