Madhavi Latha, the BJP's candidate for the hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, declared on monday that she will approach the Union government and ask them to confirm the identity of the Muslim villagers of Chengicherla village in Telangana's medchal district. The announcement follows a brawl between two groups in Chengicherla on sunday night that left several people hurt. At Medipally police Station, complaints have been filed against both of the opposing factions.

According to madhavi Latha, there should be further investigation into the large increase of Muslim households in Chengicherla during the last two years. They possess fake papers and aadhar cards. They all arrived from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and afghanistan for two years and made their home here. She said, "Hindu ladies in the village were celebrating holi when the Muslims attacked them.

According to madhavi Latha, the attacks against Hindus were part of a plot to drive the Hindus out of the area. She stated, "This is the reason caa is necessary." According to the bjp leader, the police booked the accused under minor Sections to weaken the case and failed to take appropriate action against the individuals who insulted Hindus during the holi celebration. The government denied the Hindu population, who makes up the SC/ST minority, 2BHK dwellings; only Muslims benefited from this. She questioned, "Are Hindus not entitled for government housing schemes?"
