Managing director of the hyderabad Metropolitan & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), sudarshan Reddy, inspected many filling stations in the city on Thursday, including those in Vengal Rao Nagar, SR Nagar, and Venkatagiri. He looked over the documents and asked about delivery times. He told the officials that tanker deliveries should be made without delay and that there should always be enough people on hand.
 
In addition, a survey is being carried out to build rainwater harvesting (RWH) pits. He studied the study of 2,500 dwellings conducted by 18 NGOs with representatives at the main office. The Water Board is encouraging homes to have an RWH system because of a rise in tanker bookings. Over 30,000 families reserved tankers this summer.
 
Compared to the 1.69 lakh trips made in March, HMWS&SB water tankers completed over 2.37 lakh journeys in April. This is a considerable increase. With the rise in demand, the fleet of tankers increased from 613 at the beginning of april to 840. In the past few weeks, additional filling stations and points have been introduced in addition to tankers. The Water Board released a statement stating that 48.96 percent of city customers made tanker reservations using the smartphone app.
