In the face of tensions with india, pakistan has asserted that three nations have backed Islamabad.  Azerbaijan has also declared its support for pakistan, after china and Turkey.

There are concerns that india and pakistan may start a war after the april 22 terrorist assault in Pahalgam. Reports about china and turkey indicate that they have given pakistan deadly weaponry, even though iran and saudi arabia have discussed ways to ease tensions with both nations' leaders. Apart from providing arms to Islamabad, china declared on sunday that it will assist pakistan in "protecting its sovereignty and security interests."

"This conflict is not in the fundamental interests of india and pakistan, nor is it conducive to regional peace and stability," the Chinese foreign ministry said.  It is intended that both parties will use self-control, cooperate, and contribute to defusing the situation.  Azerbaijan has also declared its support for pakistan, according to Pakistani journalists.

It is not surprise that china, turkey, and azerbaijan have united to back Islamabad because they have always supported Pakistan. china has made billions of dollars in pakistan as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and it is concerned that india would strike the ports it has constructed in the event of conflict.

Additionally, india dispatched one of its aircraft carriers to the Arabian Sea, which would endanger the port of Gwadar.  Furthermore, china has provided pakistan with PL-15 missiles for use in dire circumstances.  Pakistan has asserted that turkey has sent six planes to the country, five of which have touched down in Islamabad and one in Karachi.

Pakistan also purchases weaponry from Turkey. turkey has sold pakistan MILGEM-class warships.  Turkey has publicly backed pakistan in the kashmir dispute.

During the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2020, turkey publicly backed azerbaijan, and pakistan still does as well.  In recent years, pakistan and azerbaijan have also stepped up their military cooperation. Through military drills and arms deals, both nations are fortifying their relationship.

India's allies and adversaries have declared their support for pakistan, with china, turkey, and azerbaijan among them, according to indian security analyst Sushant Sareen.  He voiced his dismay at the positions adopted by the United States, the european union, the United Kingdom, and Russia, India's longtime partner and friend.  He has, nevertheless, stated his expectation that israel will at least back India.
