One of the highly anticipated blockbusters from bollywood in the upcoming years is The Ramayana. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic, which will be released in two parts worldwide during diwali 2026 and 2027, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, and sai pallavi as Rama, Ravana, Hanuman, and Sita, respectively.

The eagerly anticipated teaser for Ramayana was scheduled to be shown during the current WAVES Summit in Mumbai.  However, everyone applauded the decision to cancel the screening because of the pahalgam terrorist assault.  The CBFC awarded the 156-second 3D teaser a U certificate.

Together with prime minister Narendra Modi, maharashtra chief minister devendra fadnavis toured the Ramayana pavilion at the Summit.  The cm allegedly expressed his amazement at the quality of the Ramayana that the crew is producing to the film's producer, Namit Malhotra, after seeing the sneak look.  To the delight of Ramayana's crew, the cm declared, "I think this is how we should tell our stories to the new generation, and I believe what you are setting up will be the best in the world."

While everyone's eyes will be on the teaser for the Ramayana announcement, which will be made public in a few days, it is unclear whether the announcement video will have a good effect given its enormous budget of about Rs 1,000 crore.  The enormous soundtrack for the movie is being worked on by Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
