Upon its release, Kantara earned over Rs. 300 crores at the box office, making it one of the biggest hits in indian film.  He played the lead in the Rishab Shetty-directed movie.  Following the film's success, Rishab revealed Kantara: Chapter 1, its prequel.

Although Kantara: Chapter 1 is scheduled for release on october 2, 2025, it has encountered significant obstacles from its inception. The death of a young artist is the most recent. The victim, MF Kapil, a Keralan aspiring actor, drowned in Kollur's Souparnika River on tuesday and died, according to sources.

The police claim that Kapil was carried away by a powerful current while swimming during the lunch break of the shoot.  Despite their best efforts, the local fire and police departments were unable to save Kapil's life.

The filming of this film was previously put on hold because of the controversy over purported environmental harm, which led to conflicts with nearby native tribes. A bus carrying young artists was involved in an accident last year that harmed multiple persons.  This accident put a stop to the shoot.

In addition to these difficulties, the producers suffered a significant loss when unexpected rain and wind wrecked an expensive set.  We must watch to see how Kantara's crew overcomes these obstacles and releases the movie on time.
