The escalating tensions between india and pakistan have begun to subside after the truce.  Purnam Kumar Sahu, a soldier of the indian Border Security Force, was freed from Pakistan's custody on Wednesday.

Recall that during the height of tensions between the two nations after the pahalgam terrorist assault, BSF soldier Purnam Kumar Sahu inadvertently entered Pakistani territory. He was arrested by Pakistani Rangers from the international border. Purnam Kumar Sahu, a BSF jawan, was sent back to india by pakistan on May 14, almost 20 days later.

It is significant to remember that around the same period, india also arrested a member of the Pakistani Rangers in Rajasthan, close to the indian border.  In return for the return of the indian BSF man, india turned over the Pakistani Ranger.

Before this, Wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman had previously inadvertently entered pakistan, which subsequently sent him back to India.  People are once again talking about Wing commander Abhinandan because of this most recent occurrence, and they want to know what happened to him after he returned from Pakistan.

How Wing commander Abhinandan Reached Pakistan
In 2004, Wing commander Abhinandan enlisted in the military.  His brother is a member of the air Force, and his father was also a member.  Following the kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir terrorist incident at Pulwama, Abhinandan took part in the Balakot airstrike.  He used his MiG-21 Bison aircraft to shoot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet when the Pakistani air Force tried to enter indian airspace. However, he ended himself in Pakistan-occupied territory after his MiG-21 was shot down amid fierce aerial action.

On march 1, 2019, however, Wing commander Abhinandan was freed two days later.  Under the Geneva Convention, which stipulates that POWs must be returned to their home nations following the conclusion of a fight, pakistan gave him back.

Here are some of the key details:
After returning from pakistan, Wing commander Abhinandan was first examined in-depth by the indian air Force's medical staff.

The purpose of this assessment was to make sure he had not been physically harmed, given any medicines, or endured physical or psychological torture.

After this, the indian air Force officially received Wing commander Abhinandan back.

But he was momentarily prohibited from piloting fighter jets after returning from Pakistan.

This was because he was grounded for a spell after suffering injuries during his ejection from his aircraft.

He reportedly stayed grounded for a number of months before resuming fighter aircraft flying approximately six months later.  Wing commander Abhinandan was cleared to fly again after completing a medical evaluation at an air Force institute.
