The shooting of Vijay's Jana Nayagan is going on in full swing. The shooting of this film, directed by H. Vinoth, is expected to be completed by June. The film, which has music by Anirudh, stars bobby Deol, pooja hegde, Prakash Raj, gautham Vasudev Menon, Naren, Priyamani, Mamita, etc. venkat K Narayanan is producing the film under his banner, KVN Productions. Since the film's inception, it has been said that it is a remake of Balakrishna's Bhagwant Kesari. However, it is not a remake of Bhagwant Kesari. According to reports, only one scene from that film has been used in Jananayagan. It is also said that the entire remake rights of the film were bought by the Jananayagan team for Rs 4.5 crores just for that particular scene.
When actor Vijay saw the film Bhagavant kesari, he was very impressed by the 'Good Touch, Bad Touch' scene in it. Due to this, he expressed his desire to include it in Jana Naayagan. The scene, which starred Nandamuri balakrishna and Srileela, will also be included in Jana Naayagan. Reports say that apart from this one scene, Bhagavant kesari and Jana Naayagan have no other connection.

The film Jana Naayagan is set to release on january 9, 2026. It is also said that actor Vijay will be seen in the film under the name 'Thalapathy Vetri Kondan'. sathyan Sooryan has handled the cinematography of Jana Naayagan. Anil Arasu has worked as the stunt coach in the film, and V. Selvakumar has worked as the art director. Since Jana Naayagan is Vijay's last film, there is an expectation among the film fraternity that the film will gross Rs 1000 crore.
