Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious mythological film Kannappa is nearing completion, with post-production in its final stages and a grand release scheduled for june 27th. Billed as a high-budget spectacle rooted in indian lore, the film has generated considerable buzz due to its scale, star-studded cast, and intense VFX-driven storytelling. However, the team was recently rocked by a shocking incident that threatened the integrity of the project. In a major security breach, crucial content from Kannappa was reportedly stolen, prompting immediate legal action. The incident has sent ripples through the industry, raising concerns about content safety during the post-production phase.

According to reports, a hard drive containing vital VFX content was sent by the Mumbai-based visual effects team via courier to Hyderabad. The package was received by individuals identified as raghu and Charitha. Shockingly, instead of handing over the drive to the film’s production team, they withheld it, leading to suspicions of intentional theft. The film’s executive producer, Vijay Kumar, approached the film nagar Police Station and filed a formal complaint regarding the incident. The authorities have since begun investigating the matter, and a search is underway to locate the culprits and recover the stolen material. The filmmakers are reportedly doing everything in their power to ensure that the incident does not affect the film’s scheduled release.

Directed by mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by veteran actor mohan babu under the lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner, Kannappa features an ensemble cast including mohan babu himself, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, rahul Madhav, Devaraj, mukesh Rishi, and Brahmanandam. With Preity Mukhundhan and Madhoo also playing key roles, the film promises to blend mythological grandeur with modern cinematic techniques. Despite the unfortunate setback, the team remains confident about meeting the release timeline. Manchu Vishnu, for whom Kannappa is a dream project years in the making, has remained silent on the issue for now, focusing instead on delivering a film that aspires to leave a lasting mark on indian cinema.
