Netflix has started to solve the enigma of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out enigma, the much awaited third Knives Out movie directed by Rian Johnson.  Not a lot of information regarding Wake Up Dead Man's plot or characters has been disclosed thus far.  Luckily, Netflix recently unveiled a teaser trailer that teases certain plot points for the upcoming Knives Out sequel after months of hiding the movie's major secrets from the general public.

A teaser trailer for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery was released by the official X account.  The teaser just includes a 12-second, incredibly uninteresting video of a church, no characters are introduced, and no story points are revealed.  With a bell ringing in the background, the camera just pans up to reveal the entire height of this enigmatic church in this short picture.  Not even a title drop or the movie's release date are included at the end of the trailer.

"The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers, but the root of the righteous endures" is the message that goes with the teaser trailer for the movie.  Because the quote's source is not cited in the article, the preview for the film is strange, unclear, and unsettling.  Although the trailer doesn't reveal much about Benoit Blanc's next big case, it is successful in creating anticipation for it because the movie is undoubtedly still hiding a huge mystery.

Proverbs 12:12 is the source of the mysterious passage in Wake Up Dead Man's teaser, which is appropriate given the church depicted in the film.  According to the biblical verse, only good works will have a beneficial, long-lasting effect, even while evil individuals carry out evil deeds for their own gain.  Given that the Knives Out franchise has mostly focused on amoral wealthy individuals who have at least one avaricious killer among them, this sentence appears to be a good fit for the third movie's marketing while also implying the lesson of Wake Up Dead Man's tale.
