Ahmedabad, DHNS: Before the by-election to the Visavadar meeting seat, aam aadmi party (AAP) leader arvind kejriwal, punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann, and former delhi CM Atishi held a grand roadshow to assist party candidate Gopal Italia in Junagadh district on Saturday.
"The bjp couldn't win right here, so they broke down our mla, and he joined the BJP. Via this act, the bjp has insulted the electorate of Visavadar. I entreat you to vote for Gopal Italia, and I promise he won't do damage like others did," kejriwal said.
Italia, the previous nation president, filed his nomination following the rally. The bjp and congress are yet to declare the names of applicants.
Kejriwal appealed for votes while saying that Italia's victory could be a 'tight slap in the face of BJP.' He stated the bjp was a 'rogue birthday celebration,' while congress was a dhokhebaaz' (cheater).
The bypoll became necessary after AAP mla Bhupendra Bhayani defected to the BJP. Visavadar turned into one of the five seats that AAP had gained within the 2022 assembly polls, wherein bjp bagged a reported 156 seats inside the house of 182. The congress becomes limited to 17 seats.
The bypoll is likewise being held on the Kadi seat that fell vacant after the demise of Karshan Solanki.
