According to Jonathan Entwistle, director of Karate Kid: Legends, Jackie Chan dislocated his shoulder during a fight scene but then popped it back in himself. The martial arts film, which is the sixth installment in the Karate Kid series, follows the path of kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang), who ends up on a collision course with a local karate champion and then learns from Mr. Han (Chan) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). After The Karate Kid (2010), Chan's portrayal as Mr. Han in the Karate Kid: Legends cast is his second appearance in the character.

The action in the sequence caused Chan to dislocate his shoulder, according to Entwistle, who recently recalled filming the Mr. Han kitchen fight in Karate Kid: Legends in an interview with CinemaBlend.  But without missing a beat, the 71-year-old actor quickly returned to filming after realigning his shoulder.

The director said, "During the kitchen fight, he dislocated his shoulder on the first object we rolled, and he simply said, "Boop," snapping his shoulder back into place. "All right, let's go."  "Oh, Jackie Chan is here," I thought.  I overlooked it.

Seeing him perform anything on tape and witnessing it was simply incredible.  It had the feel of a film.  We had the impression that Jackie was doing something when we turned over on her.  There are also incredible scenes in which Ben is simply blocking [with Jackie Chan].  I think, "Let's go," as I watch him do it on this rooftop at Sunset.  You know we're filming movies?  It was very unique.
