Kangana Ranaut mentioned Mira Nair's marriage to famous Gujarati-origin writer Mahmood Mamdani. She raised the question as to why it seems that her son wants to end Hinduism.

She further said, "Whatever happened to his Hindu identity or lineage, but now he is ready to wipe out Hinduism, wow!! It's the same story everywhere."
