In Madhya Pradesh's ujjain district, Shakeel Mohammad, a government school teacher, is accused of setting fire to pictures of Bharat Mata and Hindu deities. He also tried to set the flag of the country on fire. He is also charged with imposing the Quran and Namaz on the pupils.

The issue concerns a secondary school in the Mahidpur village of Nagpura.  One of the school's students told his uncle, Rohit Rathore, about the Muslim man's ludicrous behavior. The pupils claim that on July 11th, he set fire to and destroyed the images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati, and Bharat Mata in front of them.  Media sources state that on July 16, Rohit Rathore visited the school in response to a complaint.

He confirmed the same by speaking with other pupils who saw the occurrence. The recordings were subsequently given to the police after the families of the other students banded together and took pictures of the damaged images.

Rohit Rathore then filed a complaint against the defendant. He mentioned that his nephew, Anurag Rathore, attends Madhyamik Vidyalaya nagpur and is a sixth-grader.  He revealed that Shakeel Muhammad had burned pictures of Bharat Mata and Hindu deities in front of the pupils and threatened to murder them if they told anyone about it.

Additionally, by promising to teach them how to do it, the offender put pressure on the pupils to read the Quran and practice Namaz in class.  Additionally, he spoke disrespectfully to the students' parents.  According to reports, he acted similarly during his former tenure as a teacher at the school in the Lasudiya Mansoor neighborhood. During his tenure at other institutions, he has also been known to repeat similar behaviors.

Shakeel Mohammad has been arrested, and a case has been booked under section 298, 351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against him. The police presented him in the Mahidpur court and sent him to jail. district Education Officer anand sharma has also suspended him from his position.

Following the revelation of the issue, Hindu organizations also voiced their opposition. The Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad employees besieged the police station and staged protests against him.  They urged stern action in a memorandum they gave to the head of the police station.
