In a case of one-sided love, a young man attempted to harm a young girl by threatening to kill her and putting a knife to her throat. The incident happened at Karanje, Satara, in the Basappa Peth neighborhood. The girl was saved thanks to the prompt action of vigilant citizens. media sources claim that the accused had a one-sided romantic relationship with the schoolgirl. She had also been harassed by him prior. However, the young person went beyond all bounds this time. Threatening the girl, he stopped her in the middle of the road and put a sharp knife to her throat.

Nearby people quickly gathered and made an effort to speak with the man.  He even asked the crowd to disperse, but he didn't listen. The female also made an effort to soothe him.  A young man suddenly came up behind him and tackled the assailant.  Other people arrived and succeeded in removing the knife from him.  Before the police arrived, the attacker was beaten by the angry crowd.  The local police station's officers arrived on the scene promptly and arrested him.
