Because israel and iran are still at war, the Middle east continues to be a major focus of international interest. After a 12-day battle, the two bitter rivals have just achieved a brief period of peace. All eyes and ears are on their military postures and armament procurement in a scenario this critical. Nonetheless, there is one nation amid this unhappiness that is neither at war nor hostile. It's Kuwait.

Which Muslim country is partnering with china to build a Joint Ammunition Facility?
Kuwait has begun making significant investments in armaments despite claiming to be a country of peace. It's interesting to note that kuwait has now agreed to work with china to produce these weapons in large quantities, marking a new milestone.  Specifically, the crucial defense project between kuwait and China—a plant that produces ammunition—is almost finished and will soon be shown. Sheikh Abdullah Mashal Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Deputy Defense Minister, made the announcement.

A joint ammunition manufacturing facility for light and medium calibers is almost finished and will soon be operating as part of broader cooperative projects with china, according to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mishaal Al-Sabha, undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, as reported by The Times Kuwait.

When will this China-Muslim Country ammunition plant be Operational?
Sheikh Abdullah made the remarks at a function hosted by the Chinese Embassy in kuwait on the 98th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army's (PLA) foundation, according to the kuwait Times. Sheikh Abdullah explained the extent of various military training programs and called the project a turning point in the two countries' military collaboration. There is conjecture that this factory will manufacture light and medium-grade weapons, even though the location of the facility and other specifics have not been made public.

Crucially, the united states has maintained a close military alliance with Kuwait.  Kuwait was liberated from the Iraqi army in 1991 by a coalition led by the united states during the gulf War.  Approximately 2,200 MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles and 13,500 US military soldiers are currently stationed in Kuwait.  Kuwait is progressively strengthening its links with china, despite having a positive relationship with the United States.  It became the first gulf state to sign a defense pact with china in 1995.  People's Liberation army (PLA) naval teams have made three trips to kuwait since then, and china has sent kuwait 155mm artillery pieces.

The Stockholm international Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) reports that, with a 466% rise in imports, kuwait ranked as the world's tenth-largest importer of weapons between 2020 and 2024. During that period, 63% of Kuwait's armaments came from the United States.
