It is known that the royal challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, which became the winner of the indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time this year, received a grand welcome in its home city. A tribute rally was organized at the famous Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which went astray and led to a stampede. This claimed 11 lives. In fact, Bengaluru is currently facing a severe traffic problem. Memes and reels are also going viral on social media regarding this. Once known as a garden city and IT capital, Bengaluru is now getting a bad name due to traffic jams and heavy rains, even during moderate rains. Although it was initially thought that a victory rally would be held in Bengaluru the day after RCB won the Cup (within a few hours), the police objected, saying that the traffic would not be able to handle it. Even though the rally was missed, tragedy could not be prevented.
Chinnaswamy Stadium. This stadium, which is very much associated with indian cricket, has gained a bad name due to a stampede. Moreover, since it is located in Bengaluru city, there are also problems in terms of traffic during matches. Due to this, karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has given the green signal for the construction of another stadium. This huge stadium will be built at surya City in Bommasandra at a cost of Rs. 1,650 crores. Its seating capacity is 80 thousand. If this stadium is completed, it will be the second-largest in the country. The narendra modi Stadium in Gujarat's capital, Ahmedabad, has a capacity of 1.30 lakh. Meanwhile, a new stadium will be built in surya City on a hundred acres. It will be much larger than the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Chinnaswamy Stadium is spread over 17 acres. The seating capacity is also only 32,000. Now the new ground will be built on a five-times larger area and with almost three times the seating capacity.
