The choices that drive two friends (Hrithik and NTR) down separate roads and how their adventures relate to the country are the subject of war 2.  Their motivations and showdown form the high-level plot.

Ayan Mukerji's war 2 is the sequel to the film starring tiger shroff and Hrithik Roshan's War.  This time, South star ntr is teamed with Hrithik.  With a reasonably captivating and skillfully done action block that introduces Hrithik, the movie begins intriguingly in Japan. Attention is immediately drawn to the action design and his on-screen persona.

What comes next, though, is a wholly template-driven, cut-and-paste sequence that we have seen numerous times in this kind of movies.  That wouldn't normally be a big deal because nobody anticipates a ground-breaking plot in a movie like this.  The action itself is not that pleasant, which is the issue here.

At the very least, one would anticipate some new, captivating action set pieces and, when both heroes appear on screen together, a pleasant chemistry that makes the experience better.  Instead, even though the action scenes are exaggerated, they lack the originality necessary to be genuinely thrilling.  Even the writing is inadequate; the characters' interactions and the development of NTR's character arc are only briefly discussed.

Although kiara advani is included, her role is minimal and doesn't make a big impact.  Despite being positioned as an exuberant moment that is obviously intended for South audiences, NTR's entrance comes across as forced and falls flat.  Overall, the first half of war 2 is barely decent, thus it will be difficult for the second half to improve.  Despite a few fairly interesting scenes, the second half of war 2 does not really flip the script.  A few sequences strewn throughout manage to maintain some interest, and one action set piece in the early second half is fairly nicely constructed.  But the fundamental problems are still the same.

The tension or build-up to the action that makes action scenes genuinely entertaining never materializes, and the writing never gets better.  Whether it's ntr or Hrithik Roshan, the dull characterizations remain constant from the first half.  The conclusion's emotional barrier between the two leads somewhat successfully, but the conclusion is utterly unimpressive.

Even though there are a few well-known supporting actors, war 2 totally squanders them.  Anil Kapoor's role is sporadic and sudden, with only a few fleeting cameos.  The same is true of kiara advani, the main female character, who only makes a few fleeting love-track appearances and a song.  Almost little about her performance is noteworthy.  Although ashutosh rana performs admirably in his supporting role, no other supporting actor makes a significant contribution.

Pritam's song is included in war 2.  Although there are a few songs, they are not chart-topping hits, but they are good enough.  They land with barely passing marks visually as well.  Although it begins promisingly, Pritam's background score becomes less powerful as the movie goes on.  He cannot be held solely responsible for the lack of impact, as this could be somewhat attributed to the plot.

Jasper's cinematography is sufficient and produces the kind of images one would anticipate from a YRF production.  Aarif's editing is lacking in several ways; certain sequences drag on and feel excruciatingly sluggish.  After the action blocks, there is a noticeable slowdown in the pacing, which may have been avoided.  Regarding the production values, YRF is up to par but doesn't provide anything noteworthy.  The movie has a good visual appearance, but it doesn't provide anything new.

Overall, A Pitiful Attempt At Bringing Back The 'War' Franchise
