The death anniversary of Dr. C.N. Annadurai, fondly remembered as Perarignar Anna and the former chief minister of tamil Nadu, was observed with solemnity and respect today. On this occasion, a peaceful rally was held in chennai under the leadership of tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin.
The rally witnessed the participation of senior leaders of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), party cadres, and supporters, who gathered to pay homage to the visionary leader who laid the foundation for Dravidian politics in the state. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister emphasized that Perarignar Anna stood for democratic values, unity, and peaceful struggle. He noted that the peaceful rally symbolized Anna’s belief in non-violence and people-centric politics. stalin urged party members and the younger generation to follow Anna’s path of integrity, simplicity, and commitment to social justice.
The event was conducted in an orderly manner, with strict adherence to discipline, reflecting the legacy of Perarignar Anna, who believed that political movements should serve the people with dignity and responsibility.
The commemoration concluded with leaders reaffirming their resolve to uphold Anna’s ideals and work towards an inclusive and progressive tamil Nadu, in line with his vision.
