Chennai, tamil Nadu: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin laid the foundation for three Tidal Neo Parks across three districts, with a total investment of ₹117.65 crore. These projects aim to boost environmental sustainability, tourism, and local economic development.

Focus on Thirunelveli District

In Thirunelveli district, the project is being implemented at Rettiyarpatti village with an investment of ₹39.06 crore. The park will feature eco-friendly infrastructure, tidal water management systems, and recreational facilities designed to integrate with the natural landscape.

Promoting Tourism and local Economy

The initiative is part of a broader strategy under the Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce Department to enhance tourism, create jobs, and encourage investment in eco-sensitive regions. These parks are expected to become local attractions while preserving natural ecosystems.

Future Plans and Community Benefits

Officials stated that the Tidal Neo Parks will serve as centers for environmental education, community engagement, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
