In a significant boost to higher education infrastructure, tamil Nadu chief minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the newly constructed Kalaignar Auditorium at the State college in Chennai. The state-of-the-art facility has been built at a cost of ₹63 crore.

The Kalaignar Auditorium has been designed to host academic conferences, cultural programs, seminars, and large-scale institutional events. Equipped with modern amenities, advanced audio-visual systems, spacious seating arrangements, and improved safety features, the auditorium aims to provide students and faculty with a world-class platform for learning and engagement.

Special Hostel Facility for Differently-Abled Students

Along with the inauguration of the auditorium, the chief minister also highlighted the establishment of a special hostel facility for differently-abled students. This dedicated accommodation is designed to ensure accessibility, comfort, and a supportive environment for students with disabilities.

The hostel includes barrier-free infrastructure, ramps, elevators, and other essential features to promote inclusivity and equal opportunities in higher education.
